We hope you enjoy your browse through our site, and that you will take a minute to sign our guestbook too (at the bottom of this page) - we'd love to hear from you! Our site also contains reports (including lots of pictures) on our monthly flower arranging demonstrations, and also the monthly competition results, with pictures of the winning entries in the flower arrangement and "Flower of the Month" competitions.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 18th March 2010 when Jayne Edmonds (National Demonstrator) will be demonstrating "For the Beauty of the Earth". The monthly flower arranging competition will be "Beauty and the Beast", and there will also be the usual "Flower of the Month" competition.
Visitors are always welcome - £4.50 on the door.

A BIT ABOUT WHO WE ARE
AND WHAT WE DO......
2008 was our 50th Anniversary. We celebrated the event in style with a wonderful lunch at the Granary, Shenstone, followed by a demonstration by Area Chairman, Sheila Hand. A full report and pictures of the afternoon can be viewed here.
We are very proud of the support that our members and committee have given us over the years, enabling us to go from strength to strength, with increased membership year on year.
We are affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies of Great Britain (NAFAS), and are part of the Three Counties and South Wales Area of NAFAS.
All our meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 2.30 p m, except January (no meeting) and December (2nd Thursday in the month starting at 2.00 p m) at:

Each month there is a flower arranging demonstration, usually by a NAFAS demonstrator, or an interesting talk, and this is followed by tea and biscuits, and a raffle of the beautiful floral designs made by the demonstrator (see picture below of three lucky raffle winners!). (You can view a report and pictures of each demonstrator and some of their beautiful designs HERE.)

Members also have the opportunity to enter the monthly flower arranging competition, which has a different theme each month (Results and pictures of the winning designs can be seen HERE). Anyone who enters is entitled to a free raffle ticket, and points are awarded in the novice, intermediate and advanced classes. At the end of the year, the overall winners in each class are awarded a silver cup or salver. There is also a "Flower of the Month" Competition, where Members can enter a flower from their own gardens. There are always some beautiful and often unusual flowers on display.
We have a Sales Table, where members and visitors can buy flower arranging accessories such as floral foam and other items at very reasonable prices, and there is also a very successful Bring and Buy table, where unusual treasures can often be found!
We are a very friendly bunch, and we do hope you will come and join us for a most enjoyable afternoon. New members and visitors are always made most welcome, (you don't have to live in Bromsgrove!), and of course, we hope you will enjoy your visit enough to want to become a member of the Society!
