Arranger - Sheila Blankstone

This arrangement was made by Sheila Blankstone. It was situated in a corridor leading to the School Hall, where Her Majesty stopped to meet staff and pupils of the School, and the feeder Schools.

Because of the size of the area, Sheila chose to make a tall pedestal arrangement, using a black stand. She wanted a bright colour scheme which would stand out in the large, fairly plain area. The flowers chosen were pink Gerberas, Liatris, red Leucodendrons, pink standard Carnations, white Chamelaucium uncinatum 'Alba' (Geraldton Waxflower), and lime green Viburnum opulus 'Sterile'. Exotic foliage including Monstera deliciosa (Swiss Cheese Plant), Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane), Pittosporum tenuifolium and Howea forsteriana (Kentia Palm), completed the design.
